Hi Kate,

You don't need an external video card reader.

What type of cable are you using, and where is it connected to the Mac?

What type of Mac do you have? (model number)

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The mac is a MacBook pro model A1502EMC 2678
attached r pics showing cable used and connection to Mac.Thanks so much

Hi Kate,

I can see you are using the Thunderbolt connection on the Mac, so it should detect the projector automatically.

What resolution are you using on the Mac? The projector can work up to 1600 x 1200. If the Mac's resolution is set higher than that then it will not display on the projector.

Try changing the resolution on the Mac to a lower setting and let me know if that works?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I reduced the resolution on the mac to match the projector. Still no joy. Maybe the software on the computer needs updating?
Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.

The software on the Mac should not affect the projector.

What happens if you shut down, then restart the Mac with the projector already plugged in?

Hi, just checking in on your question. How did things turn out for you?
