Customer: Akija. Bose acoustimas 10 series 2 sub gives no sound. All hooked up speakers work. Pioneer receiver Sub:no, LFE 10Db, All speakers large.

Initially, bear with us; re-confirm and post back with the complete model number of the Pioneer.

And have you tried a RESET of the Pioneer.

Is this a first time/fresh install? ...or the combination of Pioneer + Bose Acoustimass 10 Series II been working together before and this 'no sub sound' just a recent issue?

First time setup. Pioneer vsx-1017TXVK. Did not try the reset of the pioneer, the manual does not provide info on how to perform reset.

Consider a RESET. A reset is both a test and a try of a fix. As it implies, a reset would force the unit to revert back to factory defaults removing glitches and config errors but would include memories, presets and user preferences. After a reset, the initial setup would have to be performed. If have not been done and should you venture to try: please click HERE.

May have to be done a number of times.

This is very critical - a reset however would not be corrective of a hardware concern; but it would be confirmed. In some instances, it may even expose other issues.

Please post back results / observations of the above once tried.

Yes please. And again ensure that the speakers are set to LARGE (SUB OFF)

If the Pioneer is in 'AUTO SURR' mode, then the TONE controls are bypassed. Have you tried THX, STANDARD, ADV. SURR others?

Can you also please try MIDNIGHT/LOUDNESS to select LOUDNESS?

Increased the bass to max, still the same weak bass.

This chat started at 7:10. it is 8:15 now and all we accomplished is to get faint bass wher the strongest bass should be and no bass where weaker bass should be. Anything else you want to try before I ask for my money back?

Perhaps another member would have an alternate approach to your concern as it would appear that the Acoustimass' performance is not to your expectation.
