Good morning, how old is your Garmin?

Also when exactly do you get the error message?

IS it as soon as you turn it on, or at a certain time during use?

Thank you

Good Day Micheal. I got the garmin December 2013. The low battery message started in July 2014. I replaced the battery and the message flashes permanently. I can't switch it on or off it just keeps flashing the AVB/AID message. I cant use the watch at all since this started.

Thank you for that information.

This is more then likely a bad battery. If you try a new one maybe from a different source you should be able to see that message disappear.

The circuit that monitors the battery is also in the battery itself.

But if your battery lasted a while then appeared, you would have a problem inside the Garmin.

But almost always with these it is in fact a bad or defective battery.

And also make sure your charger works. In other words, if the unit just stays on normally with the warning, then its just a bad sensor in the Garmin. But...if it shuts down at all then you need a new battery.

I hope that helps?

Please let me know.

Also if you need a good place to have it serviced.
