I own a model A5781 safe. After opening without a problem

Customer Question

I own a model A5781 safe. After opening without a problem the door bolts extended again. However, when I again entered to code, the handle and bolts would not move. I did have a green light indicating the proper code was entered. How do I get the bolts to retract and close the safe?

Hi there,

This problem will occur if the lock mechanism seizes.

Try hitting the door of your A5781 safe with a rubber mallet to help loosen the lock mechanism.

Once you get it freed up and the door is open, use some spray oil to lubricate the lock mechanism to prevent it seizing again.
