This sounds stupid, but here goes. I plugged in my new nuvi2509 to the computer. I registered it with garmin--no problem. However, I cannot get the screen on the device to move on past the garmin screen. What am I missing?

May I ask:

1) the AGE of the device (I see you mentioned "new", but I need to know how new & how long you have owned it)?

2) If you have connected it to ANY other power source - besides the computer?

3) Do you have a model number printed on the back of the device, and if so, can you send that along?
