About a year a go I purchased the Gramin Delta dog collar

About a year a go I purchased the Gramin Delta dog collar and remote (both worked as expected). I lost the Delta remote and got a replacement remote. I have paired the collar and remote together following the instructions in the delta booklet that came with the original purchase. Unfortunately, the range of the signal from the remote to the collar a has decreased to about 60-80 feet. I recently did an inspection of the new remote and have found that I was actually sent the Delta Sport remote, instead of the Delta remote. Is this the cause of the decrease in range? Is there something I can do about this? Thanks!!

The alternative remote would not cause a decrease in the signal range.
A more likely explanation is that some damage has occurred to the collar or its antenna.
You can fit a replacement antenna or a long range antenna to resolve this problem:
