we have a lifesaver smoker alarm 1275 built into the house and its chirping. I changed the battery and pushed the hush button and this sucker wont hush..please home. All American Home built in 1999

Hi there,Ensure the alarm has been correctly fitted after changing the battery - there is a metal hinged arm on the unit that is meant to hook under a plastic plate when sliding the unit back on.
