Customer Question
I am trying to connect...
I am trying to connect a Samsung BD-P1600 BluRay player via wireless to WRT54G2 v1.5. BD sees the network, but when I enter WEP code, it says "could not connect to ...". I know the wireless is working, as a laptop and 2 Iphones are connected to it with the same code. I even disconnected the computer from the network and re-established the connection to verify the code. All firmware is up to date via the cat 5 cable. Please help me!

Hi there and thank you for using JA. It sounds like you have a good grip on networks so I would recommend doing this. Log into your router and disable all security just for testing purposes. Then try and connect with your player. Are you using the Samsung Wireless accessory or you trying to use some other brand wireless adapter? Disabling security will rule out anything defective inside your player. Not to mention it will let you know its not a connectivity issue. Second, I would make sure your player supports the WEP encryption you have enabled on your router when your re-activate security. Perhaps you are using WEP 128 and your system can only support WEP 64. Pay close attention when inputting your WEP key to make sure it fits into the space. Assuming this helps you, please click the green accept button below and please consider providing positive feedback. If not, please let me know. Also, bonuses are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Michael.
