Hello annabell,

It may could be a short somewhere in the circuitry causing it to turn off.
It may also be a problem with power getting to the TV itself.

Are you running your TV directly off the wall outlet or are you running off an extension cable?
If you are running off a surge protector, I'd suggest plugging straight into a wall outlet to see if that fixes the problem.

Gathering the knowledge from your posts,
This is leading me to believe that your flyback transformer is going out.

The most simple thing to do is either take it to a repair shop, which will usually cost around $150 to do, or fix it yourself. If you have any family members tech-savvy, it would be the wisest choice.

The replacement flyback for your TV costs only $15.97.
I will list the part number below.

Part Number(s):
1) RCA Replacement Flyback ---- Part Number 271996
