Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your Roland? What have you tried so far?

It only happens when there is a power outage. I haven't had any issues before, always got the four channels uploaded into Express Scribe

I can play it in media player, but of course, it's only one track and it's not as clear

No, we already did that before. My question was, is there any way to get the original file which was recorded with four channels to open up in Express Scribe with the four tracks? I am only able to hear it in Media Player which uses one channel and I need the other three channels. This only happens when there is a power glitch like a short outage or if somebody accidentally hits the plug with their foot.

I have to send it out to an audio technician to pull apart the channels so I can hear it clearer. I am a court reporter and I need to hear all the channels clearly. When there is a power outage, it doesn't upload in the ExpressScribe which is used for transcription purposes. It will only play in Media Player on one channel and I have four channels on this Roland R-44 recorder. It costs me money every time I have to use this technician. He is able to get at least two channels for me and I can hear it a lot better once he does this, but again, it costs me money and I would like to know why this happens and how to prevent this from reoccuring if there is a power lost loss in the future.

Have you asked the technician who has taken care of it each time? The reason that I ask is because he/she has the device in front of them and likely can answer more questions about it than myself who does not.
