Customer Question

We have a CVP 204 and it seemed to go to "sleep". The display screen went to a dark blue color and no buttons seemed to work to wake it up. Turning the power off and on didn't work either.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Yamaha CVP 206, purchased new in 2005.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: This is the second time in about 6 weeks. The only thing I personally tried was turning the power off and on again.
JA: Anything else you want the instrument expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so.

Hello, I’m Ron and I am a Yamaha certified musical instrument technician. I understand you are having a problem with your CVP 206. You said you tried turning it off and on, did you try that after the unit had been off about an hour to cool down? It might be a heat related problem.

I wanted to check back with you to see if the problem was corrected. I am glad to help any way I can but without more information from you there is nothing I can do.
