Customer Question

I've a Hammond SK2. About two and a half years old. It now drops output volume sporadically during performances.
All cables and amplifiers used with it have been checked and found to be working properly.
Any thoughts

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

That would probably be owing to variations in the basic voltage levels produced by the power supply to the amplifiers... which would change biasing in the amplifiers, reducing amplification and thus reducing volume.

I suggest checking such basic voltage levels esp. at such times as volume level does indeed drop.
