Customer Question

We have a yamaha disklavier II. We were playing a song from prerecorded disk, when he turned the volume knob and accidentally hit one of the buttons to the right of the volume knob. The piano will not play the the songs even though it is reading the songs from the floppy. Any ideas about what happened and how to fix it?

Hello Jan,

You may have hit the "No" button.
Try pressing the "Yes" button and let me know if the sound is restored.

I pressed the yes button, but the piano still will not play a song.

Ok, can you remember which button you pressed, at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No he was turning the volume knob and one of his fingers hit one of the bottoms to the right...he thinks probably the bottom button. We have powered off the piano twice...the keyboard doesn't play.

The only other thing you could try is a reset, which will reset everything to factory defaults, and wipe anything saved in the memory too.

To do a reset, press SETUP, then select Reset and press Enter.
