Customer Question

Yamaha DGX-620 88 hammer key. G1 to C2 does not produce sound. cleaned contact board GHL88L, inspecteted rubber contact strip an find nothing out of the ordinary. All other keys produce sound upon contact. Could this be a GHL88L circuit issue? What are the black dots on the rubber contact strip. What is the basic concept behind it? Why 2 dots?

Hello, my name is Rusty. The tone generator works with 7 notes, and shifts octaves. That Since you can play all 7 notes, your tone generator seems healthy.

Check the connection from the pads to the tone generator. Something seems to have come loose in that bank.
