Customer Question

I have a Roland Digital Piano KR4500 that audio just went with a heavy 'dud' sound.
The lights turn-On when I power On. I was told that Roland Svc center don't repair this
piano anymore and have to look elsewhere.
Appreciate very much if I someone can help!

I can't be waiting on the computer all day. You might be asleep back east or somewhere doing errands.
Anyway please let me know the time to make the call here in Los Angeles.

Hi Joey,

An internal electronic component on the audio circuitry has likely blown.

If you can still hear audio through headphones, then the speakers or part of their circuitry may have failed.

The keyboard will need to be opened and some diagnostic tests carried out to help locate the source of the fault.

how do you open the top panel to get to the circuitry?
Expert:  ITPeter replied 1 year ago.

Hi,

You will need to loosen all of the screws around the edge of the keyboard, then remove the lower panel from the top panel.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There are no "screws around the edge of the keyboard".
