Roland FR8X accordion the battery has a 24.5 volt charge.

Customer Question

Roland FR8X accordion the battery has a 24.5 volt charge. when I press the on off power button the button turns blue and the display screen starts to light up, then everything shuts down and the accordion goes off. If you have the volume turned up, you can hear a humming noise and then a snap/click when it powers off. Plugging in the power adaptor to run the accordion has the same effect, and the power adaptor tests 24 volts. Why won't the accordion turn on?

Hi there,
Although 24V is being supplied to the accordion, there is likely a fault somewhere within the internal circuitry, preventing the accordion from powering on normally.
You can open it up and investigate for any obvious damaged or burned components, however faulty parts may not always be visually obvious, and you should return the accordion to Roland for thorough testing to diagnose and repair the fault.
