I have a 240 panel, all circuits have been Ok for quite some
I have a 240 panel, all circuits have been Ok for quite some time, some how one of my 120 circuits was reading 235volts. I have taken out all the breakers except a 240 volt for my well pump. Both legs on this breaker read 118 volt to common which is OK. I add 1 120 breaker with a 40 watt light bulb power on this new breaker drops to about 90 volts but on the 240 breaker one leg reads 235 volts the other reads 35 volts. Turn off this breaker, 240 volt breaker reads correctly. I add another breaker with an outlet and plug in a trouble light this light does not come on the other light turns off, I turn off the outlet breaker the light slowly comes on. 240 volt breaker still reading 235 and 35 to ground turn off both 120 breakers, 240 volt breaker reads 118 volt and 118 volt. … read more
