My craftsman portable generator...

My craftsman portable generator only puts out one of the 110 volt legs, the other leg reads 15 or so volts.

Contractor's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?

Just received the generator as a donation. previous owner had never used it

Does the generator have a transfer switch that it is connected to?

Can you remove the cover to get to the input & output terminals of the 50 or 60A Circuit Breaker?
