Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

Please first tell me if I got it correctly. You want to install 20 amp GFCI in existing box. What was in that box installed originally?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No i will be installing a new circuit all in one 12-2 line
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

when you say all in one line. What do you mean by all?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I have 9 gfci outlets
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

Ok. So you want to run 12-2 wire and have 9 GFCI receptacles on it. Correct?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.
You want to install all 9 GFCi's or you want 1 GFCI and remaining 8 regular receptacles to be protected by first GFCI?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I think I want 9 and I guess I could put the first one a safety one to protect all the others?
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

If you have first protecting others then the other ones does not have to be GFCI. They can be just regular outlets. Is that what you want or you want all 9 to be GFCI's?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
all gfci my boss might run high power off any of them
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I have all gfci if I put regular outlets in wouldn't my wire be to big and hot for regular outlets and burn them out
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

No. you can get 20 amp regular receptacle if you want but since you already purchased GFCI you can install those. Where are you installing GFCI's outside, In the kitchen or?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Office room
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

Why are you installing GFCI in the office? you can just purchase 20 amp regular duplex receptacles and installed them.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
They are 20a outlets but they have a t on them don't that mean there gfic
Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.

Those are not GFCI. T means its 20 amp. You can install those.

Expert:  Alex replied 8 months ago.
