Installing a Leviton 5226 SP switch w/pilot light. It

Customer Question

Installing a Leviton 5226 SP switch w/pilot light. It appears the power enters at the appliance with 14-2 Romex sent to the box I'm working in to allow for insertion of the switch. Consequently, I only have 2 wires to work with, not 4. I can either get the pilot light to operate or the appliance, but not both. The instructions in the box state "do not use to replace a switch that had been controlling a light with only two wires" . . . which is precisely what I'm trying to do. Is there a workaround for this?

Unfortunately you are short a neutral wire for the pilot.
