I have a 3 phase 240 volt motor using squared mag stater with 120 volt coil.

Hi, I'M m Mike G and I'll be assisting you. Terminate the neutral on one of the coil terminations. The other will be the hot running through your control originating on one of the hot legs. Selection of hot leg depends on its voltage to neutral. Avoid a high leg.

The old starter had A1 as the 120 v A2 as neutral. We're do they land on square D size 2 mag stater.
Expert:  Mike G. replied 10 months ago.

There are 2 terminations on a coil. Either one can be a hot or a neutral.
