I have the utilitech TM-097 in wall timer switch and my box

Customer Question

Hello
I have the utilitech TM-097 in wall timer switch and my box only has a ground wire and one black and one white wire. The instructions say I should have two black wires?
Thanks for your feedback!

Hi, I'm Mike G and IU'll be assisting you. Unfortunately that timer requires a neutral which you don't have. The white wire is being used as a hot. I suggest getting an Intermatic ST01C timer for your installation.
