Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be assisting you. All the wires should be taped individually and pushed back in the hole.

Hi Mike. At what point on the wire should I cut them? Above or below the while plastic crimper? I attached a pic. Do I need to turn off power or a breaker before doing so? Do I need to do anything with the doorbell transformer before cutting the doorbell wires?
Expert:  Mike G. replied 1 year ago.

Send the picture. Yes, disconnect the transformer.

Cut the wire at the wire nut and tape them individually, then stuff them back into the hole.
