Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be assisting you. Is the heater the only failure? What is the required voltage for the heater? Do you have a 2 wire voltage tester?

Heater is off & we did that all is ok

If there are no other circuits off and everything else is operational, your heater failed on its own. To smoke the failure could be in the control components. All you can do is examine the internals and look for signs of a short.
