Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be assisting you. That's a common problem with K&T wiring. The connection made with twist Ans tape joints fail with time. You need to eliminate any you find by connecting fresh stripped wires with wirenuts. To locate the one failed, squeeze the tape joint with a pair of Kinsman's pliers. It will make a connection which will give full voltage, then rework the connection as directed.
