My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist you with your electrical question. 1) Double tapped breakers are a code violation and a safety hazard. 2) If the panel is capable of tandem breakers, you can install them if the panel label permits them. If not, then a sub-panel will be required.

not seeing anything on it like that can you tell by these two tags below? when did they come out with these tandem breakers?

Kevin I wanted to take out a couple breakers before I closed the question and see if you can tell me if this one will take tandem breakers. 2 pictures here of the same location at the bottom of the box, 1 is clear with what the breakers attach to the other is fuzzy but shows where it is. please let me know.
Thanks for the pic's, but unfortunately, I am unable to determine if the bus bars contain a notch or not. 1) Temporarily remove a few of the bottom most circuit breakers and confirm if the hot bus bar stabs contain a notch or not. If the bus bar stabs have a notch, then the panel can accept tandem or mini breakers. If the hot bus bars do not contain a notch, the panel cannot accept tandem breakers. If a panel can accept tandem breakers, the notched bus bar stabs will be located towards the bottom most breaker positions in the panel. The panel label should also indicate if the panel will accept such breakers. 2) Perform a visual inspection and compare your hot bus bar stabs to the diagram shown below. 3) If the hot bus bars don't contain a notch, then you will require a sub-panel to accommodate future circuits.
