Microwave does not work. Bought a new three prong Microwave

Customer Question

microwave does not work. Bought a new three prong
Microwave did not work. removed the 3 pronged plug from the receptical and tested with a tester. It glowed red. Bought a new receptical and installed it. Checked the installed receptical wires with a tester and it glowed red. Attached the cover to it and plugged the microwave back in and it still does not work. Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be assisting you. Using a non contact tester won't do. You need a 2 wire voltage tester. The reason being is that the neutral is open and the non contact tester can't verify that issue.
