Customer Question

I am selling my house after 25 years. I have outlets in the wood floors on the main floor. The house was built in 1928. I need to find out if the outlets need to be brought above the floor to be code, or if they are still up to code in the floor.

Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.

Can you provide a picture of the receptacles? One picture if they are all the same?

For the information on floor receptacles:

Floor receptacles are still allowed, but they must be in a specific box and cover that is designed for floors to protect from the elements.

Standard wall type receptacles and covers cannot be installed in floors.
