I have an ikea wire cable halogen light system that stopped

Customer Question

I have an ikea wire cable halogen light system that stopped working. The breakers are fine. There is a black button on the junction box. What can I do to fix/reset it?

Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.

It has what they call a fuse, but more like a circuit breaker in my opinion.
It pops out when tripped and must be pushed back in to reset.
Does it stay in when pushed or does it pop out again?

If it pops back out and will not stay in, unfortunately the transformer has failed and would need replacing .

Double check the screw fittings to be sure they are tight

Here is the instructions:
This product is equipped with a fuse
which can be reset. If the fuse is activated,
first make sure that the screws are
properly tightened. To re-establish contact,
wait for at least 10 minutes before
pressing the button

Let me know how it goes,
