If I want to put a switch between 2 GFCI receptacles, does

Customer Question

If I want to put a switch between 2 GFCI receptacles, does the output from the first GFCI come from its line or load terminals?

Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be glad to assist you. Each GFCI has a Line and Load. The Line is the input and the Load the output. Depending whether you want the switch protected by the GFCI, it's your choice as to whether it is ground fault protected or not.
