Customer Question

I have the 30 kva step up the load is approx. 220' away. the primary is much larger than the secondary can I set the xformer anywhere along the run? or should it be closer to the service or closer to the load or does it matter?

It would be less expensive to set the x former closer to the service because of the higher cost for the primary feeder conductors. There are other however considerations such as voltage drop.
