Hi mike, I have a 7000 watt generator that has a 4 prong outlet for 240.It's manual says it should output 240 volts. It is not providing 240.

Hello and welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist you with your electrical question. 1) Is the 4 prong receptacle rated as a NEMA twist locking L14-30? 2) Do you have an AC voltmeter and did you measure across the "X" and "Y" slots of the receptacle? You are not able to measure 240 volts here?
