Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. More than likely it is a bad connection. Most fixture and remote leads are not stripped long enough for a good connect. They need to be stripped more, so that they firmly seat in the wirenut. The connection fails when it heats up due to current and when it cools down will allow the fan/light to function untill it heats again.
