i have two fluorescent light fixture in my garage. i am confused because the front pair work, however the pair farther back are not working and i just replaced the bulbs today. sometime the pair in the back work but that few a between. the pair in the
front are connected to the pair in the back.

I suggest getting a Volt/Con. All the big box stores have them. Easiest one to use. Does voltage and continuity without you changing the settings.
