Customer Question

In the back yard the two outlets stopped working. The outlet in the front is hooked to a GFI outlet in the garage. But I can't find anything for the backyard?

If GFCI protected the GFCI could be anywhere. Check the basement and other garage outlets for the device. As it is in most homes, the panel directory is almost wireless. Make a sketch of the house by the floor. Mark each receptacle and light on the sketch. With the help of someone at the panel, flip breakers to find what controls each opening, mark the sketch with the breaker number. Now you'll have a complete picture of your electrical system and finding and correcting problems as you have will be much easier.
