Bathroom fan stopped working.Pulled the switch out and found

Customer Question

Bathroom fan stopped working.Pulled the switch out and found the ground wire was disconnected.Reconnected the ground and turned the switch on and fan still did not work. With the switch off using a simple circuit tester I bridged the 2 black wires and the tester lit up.Then I turned the switch off and the tester lite went out. Is this correct or is the switch bad?

Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. Remove one wire on he switch and touch it to the other wire. If the fan works, the switch is bad. If it doesn't we can continue.
