I have a joinery shop with all my machines being only 1 phase 230v. I have no power for the next couple of days but will need to run the machines individually off a generator, I need to know what size/wattage/ohmage generator I will need
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 2 years ago.
Ok, thanks.
Can you check each machine and get the nameplate information on each?
Looking for HP, KW, Watts, Amps, any one of those will do.
We will calculate based on the highest user of the machines.
If only one at a time, that is all that is needed.
If using more than one at a time, it changes the need drastically on the generator sizing.
