Hello.....my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist you with your electrical question. My goal is to exceed your expectations on Just Answer!
1) Unfortunately, their is no reciprocity or transferring of electrical licenses from other countries to the United States. Also, many states within the United States do not have reciprocity and an examination is required when going from state to state. You will need to take a written examination in the state of Florida to obtain an electrical license.

2) I am in a similar situation as you are, as I am licensed in Illinois but I will be moving to Florida, so I also need to take the FLA exam. Nothing like starting all over again:(
3) You will be examined on the 2014 National Electrical Code. I recommend that you purchase a copy of the 2014 National Electrical Code Handbook as this provides much more in-depth examples and explanations as the actual 2014 NEC code book does.
See link shown below:
http://catalog.nfpa.org/NFPA-70-National-Electrical-Code-NEC-Handbook-2014-Edition-P14871.aspx
4) Another excellent study resource is the "Code Check" flip guide. See link shown below:
http://www.codecheck.com/cc/index.html
5) In addition to the 2014 NEC, there will also be Florida state electrical code questions on the examination. Refer to the FLA website that I provided for more details on this part.
6) Both of the above mentioned books are a "must have" for successfully passing any electrical licensing examination:)
