Trace v1.1 is inverting. Green light is on but not charging batteries and rc7 will not come on

Hello. My name is***** can help you with your question. Based on your description it sounds like the charging circuit is working fine, but that the battery is not taking the charge. It sounds like it may be a faulty battery. And if the voltage at the batteries only 1.7 V, that's not correct so is it possible that the battery was allowed to run completely flat? If so you may be able to force a charge into it in order to get the voltage up high enough so that it will be charged by the inverter. The problem is that without it's the inverter being connected to the battery it's not going to output any voltage. And if it's connected to the battery but the batteries voltage is not high enough for it to detect, it will also not engage the charging circuit. So the problem at the battery can and usually does cause what you are observing.
