I'm replacing an old magnetic fluorescent ballast with a new

Customer Question

I'm replacing an old magnetic fluorescent ballast with a new one. The old one has 2 blue wires 2 red wires, 2 yellow wires, 1 black and 1 white. The new one has 1 red, 2 blues, 1 black, 1 white and no yellow. Does one of the blues take the place of the yellow?

Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. Yes, the red will connect to both lamps as the yellow did and the blue wires will connect, one to the lamps' other ends. Black and white directly to the ballast.
