Mike: I'm trying to -pass the remote monitor on my water

Customer Question

Mike: I'm trying to bi-pass the remote monitor on my water heater. I have #10-3 no ground coming from my breaker box (2 positives, 1 neutral) How do I reconnect with the #10-2 with ground that leads out of the water heater?

Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. Connect the 2 hots and mark the white wire with green tape, then use it for a ground.
