Hello. It is unlikely that this circuit can be wired this way. Are you concerned that one motion sensing switch at one end of the hallway will not detect motion at the other end of the hallway and turn the light on?

Yes, but very limited space. I am not sure if I can reach the fixture from the attic.

Okay. The reason I asked about an attic space is because it would be better to install a ceiling mounted motion detector, that can detect motion in either end of the hallway. Do you think this is a feasible possibility?

Possibly, do you have a make and model of the sensor you are recommending?

No, but I can find one Online that will suit your needs. Would you like me to look one up for you?

It's just that I have seen wall mounted sensors, but I have never seen a ceiling mounted unit.
Jason :
I have installed many ceiling mounted occupancy sensors (motion detectors) in commercial applications, but never in a residence. However, there is no reason such a detector would not work for you.

Keep in mind that you will need to supply the sensor with a constant 120 volt (hot and neutral) power source. Then, route the output wires into the fixture you want to control. With this being a 3 way switch setup, do you want to continue using the wall switches?
