Customer Question
Hi, a pleasure to...

Hi, a pleasure to find your site. I bought a used 2013 club car "hunting buggy". One day it stopped charging. I bought a new charger, still not charging. I don't see any buttons or switches to push.

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model of your car?

I'm looking it up,

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?

I don't as yet have anyone to help me who has much knowledge of club cars, My only attempt to repair has been to buy a new charger and wiggle all the knobs on the car.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

It is a 2013 electric 48v, hunting cart, with 2015 Phantom body.

When charger does not come on, the common problem is incorrect voltage to the charger port on the cart. Need to use a voltmeter and check for cart battery pack voltage at the charger port. Should be close to the 48 volts of the battery pack. The charger will not respond if the voltage is less than 36 volts, as the internal relay will not close to start the charge cycle. On a Club Car it may also have an OBC , which controls the charger, it may be bad or needs to be reset. I will include a reset procedure. But if the voltage is low to the charger port, check the wires from battery pack to the OBC and to the charger port for damage or corrosion.
