Can a EZ-Go Golf Cart be charged up with a convintional

Customer Question

Can a EZ-Go Golf Cart be charged up with a convintional battery charger? I have a earlier model EZ-GO Golf cart it came wit two chargers however neither are putting out 36 volts as the should. Maybe 1.5 volts at best. I do have three other convintional battery chargers that I use on cars when needed and they work quite well. I am just not sure about using one of them until I can get a standard Golf Cart battery charger. What are your thoughts?

You can charge the batteries , two at a time with a conventional 12 volt charger.

Are the cart chargers automatic chargers, with no off/off knob timer? If so, they will not work until battery voltage is above 30 volts. What is voltage at the charger connection on the cart?

Chargers are tough, do you have model number of the chargers? Do they have the bullseye fuse in the front panel? Is either fuse link show to be blown? One side of fuse blown, will give low output.
