My 36 volt golf cart won't move. It has been sitting all winter but was hooked to a charger. When I plug it in the charger does nothing

The batteries are too dead for the charger to turn on. When you leave charger plugged in, it will not cycle. It runs one time and waits for you to unplug it and reattach. To get batteries up to where the cart charger will work, charge two batteries at a time with an automotive 12 volt charger.
