I am a Doctoral student at D'youville college in Buffalo,
I am a Doctoral student at D'youville college in Buffalo, NY. I recently completed all of my required course work for the program and looking forward to starting my dissertation. I passed all required course work but after taking an exam which consisted of 2 questions I supposedly failed this exam and am now out of the program. I have big issues with this particular policy of the college. I feel that this is the right of any individual to pursue higher education and to make it an enjoyable learning experience. We were constantly told that we would have to take this exam but it just added more stress and pressure to an already stressful process. I would like to challenge this policy and be able to proceed to complete what I have been engaged in since 2014 and I also paid for the program out of pocket. Tuition went up every semester. I did speak with the program chair twice and she stated that there was no resolution for me . I spoke with her a third time and she spoke with the other professors in the doctoral program and decided that they would grant me another masters degree but I paid all of this money for the doctoral program and I think that this practice is very unfair after I have worked so hard all of these years.
