I am college teacher and departmert chair, at the same time

Customer Question

i am college teacher and departmert chair, at the same time an undergraduate student of the same program under my department which I am a Chair. I enrolled myself (as a student) in a subject which I taught, and eventually gave myself the highest grade. I did not know that it was not allowed since the subject is a pre-requisite of my subjects for next semester and I am the only teacher who teaches that major subject in that previous Semester. I have to answer the complainT filed by my Dean himself in 10 working days. In the Dean's complaint he stated: "We learned about the issue through rumor shortly before the Final Examination. I could not believe that she as Department Chair would assign to herself a section where she is also the teacher. I thought then that if she indeed did it, she would do the proper thing to do of not giving herself a self-serving Final Grade of 1.0." (which is the highest). Please advise.
