I have a Kindle...

I have a Kindle Fire and am trying to Register Your Kindle with Amazon. When I input my password ***** Registration Error pops up stating the information I entered does not match an Amazon account, however, when I open my Amazon account with this same password ***** works. Do you have any ideas.

Technician's Assistant: When could you last access your Kindle?

I haven't used my Kindle for about 3 weeks. It locked up so I finally got it to open enough to take it all the way back to when I first got it. I then had trouble changing my amazon password ***** got aggravated and quit. Today I changed my Amazon password ***** now I still can't get my Kindle registered.

Technician's Assistant: Did you try resetting through Amazon's online password ***** tool?

Yes I got my password ***** but my Kindle doesn't recognize it when I try to register

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the E-reader Expert to know before I connect you?

It is not an E-reader. It is a Kindle Fire. I think that is all the information I have.
