I have a Fire HDX 8.9. I am experiencing rapid battery drain. Was 100% charged this morning and now down to 40% with no usage????

Technician's Assistant: Have you tried different power sources or a different wall adapter (the part of the charger with prongs)?

No, but unit says !00% charged. Love Kindles.

Technician's Assistant: Is the charging port of your Fire clean, with the small tab inside unbent?

Okay, will check and try different charging. Again, confused that it indicated 100% charged.
