I think that your e-reader, whatever make or model it may be, probably is defective from the seller or vendor. It should be returned to the vendor or store as such, ASAP, with the remark (transmitted to the vendor or store by at least a phone message, promptly, before the return-exchange period runs out) that the touch-screen functions are too badly misaligned to be usable as the e-reader is at present. And, that you would like to exchange the e-reader for another fully working one of the same model or same value and capabilities or greater. You have that right as a consumer and buyer of such an electronic device.
